Aussie Fish Aquatics operates under the industry Commercial Hatchery Code of Best Practice. In 2009 the AAQ (Aquaculture Association of Queensland Inc.) began the process of accrediting professional commercial hatcheries under the Commercial Hatchery Code of Best Practice. The code was developed in consultation with fisheries authorities in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. The Queensland Government provided funding to employ an independent auditor to access hatcheries compliance to the code of practice. The code focuses on desired outcomes. Aussie Fish Aquatics operates under the industry environment code of practice. The Queensland freshwater finfish aquaculture industry through a technical advisory group has formulated this Code of Practice in recognition of the industry’s need to become recognised as an environmentally responsible and sustainable industry and to assist industry members define standards of performance.
Aussie Fish Aquatics has its own laboratory for health management of livestock.

The facility has a quarantine room and purging facility which allows our fish to be prepared for export.

Aussie Fish Aquatics can supply fry, fingerlings and juveniles of many Australian native freshwater species such as jade perch, silver perch, catfish and ornamental native fish. Aussie Fish Aquatics has over 30 years experience with international freight of live fish, and can ship to almost anywhere. Aussie Fish Aquatics is a certified disease free hatchery, and an approved facility for export of live fish. Aussie Fish Aquatics is an accredited hatchery under the Aquaculture Association of Queensland’s “Hatchery Accreditation Program.” An independently audited program.
Aussie Fish Aquatics recently completed a major up-grade of its facilities. Improvements to date include a new laboratory, quarantine room, climate control room, as well as a new extension almost tripling the hatchery complex.
